We champion lifelong support for individuals with autism of all ages, their dedicated caregivers, and the professionals who provide essential treatment and care. Through amplifying real voices, we fight for better funding, services, career placement, and inclusive communities—so every person on the spectrum, every family, and every provider has the resources and respect they deserve, at every stage of life.
At Next Chapter Connections, we stand firm: ABA must remain fully funded and accessible for every child who needs it. Cutting funding would be detrimental—denying children proven support that builds essential skills, increases independence, and lowers future costs in special education and care.
Too many adults on the autism spectrum face staggering barriers: unemployment rates often exceed 80%, and safe, affordable housing options remain critically limited, leaving countless individuals and families without the stability they deserve.
South Carolina Medicaid reimbursement rates for frontline autism providers—such as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and other paraprofessionals—are significantly lower than those in neighboring states. As a result, South Carolina is losing qualified providers to states like North Carolina, where wages are substantially higher.
